Week 5 - March 28 - April 3

Well, THE GIRLS, Michael and I went back down to Milpitas today - March 28 - to pick up Riley. Since there were so many patients at the vet's, he hadn't been done by the time we returned to pick him up (turns out that Riley wasn't operated on until Sunday morning. He spent the night with Amy, who found out Riley's really bad trait... he snores!). Turns out that not only did Riley get neutered and his gums cut away, they had to also pull two of his remaining teeth.

When we got there, Riley was awake, but of course quiet. He slept most of the way back to THE CITY. When we got home, he had his first meal (oatmeal) and dose of pills (anti-biotic and pain).

At dinnertime, he could hardly keep his head up - the pain pills were working.

Ah yes, This is the Life of Riley! A harem and a water bed.

Well, we got brave this week, left THE BABIES in the house by themselves. Surprise, nothing was out of place when we got home! We did this on a few other occasions - coming home to a house as we had left it! Until Thursday, April 1 (perhaps it was their way of April Fooling us). They got a hold of the cork top to the huge penny jar we have - cork was everywhere! So, it was back into their kennels when leaving - THE GIRLS have never minded going in, usually doing so without being told. But Riley has started putting up resistance (running the other way, or upon the couch, necessitating the need to put his collar on, to 'drag' him into his kennel.
