Week 2 - March 7 - March 13, 1999

Well, we are now at the close of our second week. This was a very good week for Riley, but a bad week for THE GIRLS. Monday morning, March 8, Chelsea and Zoe woke up coughing. We contacted Amy to tell her that Riley was almost out of meds, and that THE GIRLS were now coughing. Amy advised me that BABR would send more meds for Riley and some for THE GIRLS.

On Tuesday, March 9, we stopped by the vet's to pick up the heartworm and Frontline regime for THE GIRLS. We weighed Riley = 61.3 pounds! Riley gained 11.3 pounds in one week.

Rile and THE GIRLS are getting along very well now. All three drinking out of the same bowl at the same time.

Chelsea has really become attached to Riley, mothering him as if he were her own pup.

The three are now playing for short periods. Riley isn't quite yet up to playing like a BOXER. This has Zoe a bit stumped. Riley's play time lasts at the most ten minutes, while Zoe can go for over an hour.

Riley has become much more relaxed. He realizes that those dreadful days are behind him. (However, twice in the past week he woke up in the middle of the night as if from a nightmare. He jumped into the bed and started getting very cuddly.)

Riley loves going on walks, especially at the beach. He loves people and other dogs (keeping him away from them, because of his cough, is quiet a challenge).

This window could be a little bigger.

These are my girls. Get your own.

See how stately I am!
