These Pages Are Dedicated to Our Endeavor in Fostering Rescued Boxers

While reading an email received from THE BOXERWORLD LIST, Rod came across a posting about the new WEB pages for THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA BOXER RESCUE ORGANIZATION (BABR). While perusing their pages, I came across a section titled "Foster Homes". Reading it, I immediately called Michael and asked him if he would be interested in becoming a Foster Home for another Boxer (since he is the one that is home with Chelsea and Zoe most of the time, and would be for any new baby). His reply - without hesitation - "SURE!" Rod then sent the organization an email.

These pages are dedicated to a new leaf in the life of The Swenetta Family - that of being a FOSTER HOME for BOXERS. The purpose of these pages is to hopefully have those that have lost their babies or for some reason had to give them up, to see them here, and at least know that their baby is alive, and being loved. At the bottom of this page is a link to San Francisco Bay Area Boxer Rescue, where you can find out how to adopt or become reunited with your baby..

We hope to also try to convince anyone that is struggling with having to give up their baby, to contact a rescue shelter near them, rather than the local pound. Why? For one thing, to avoid having their baby come down with kennel cough. Even though this is a curable condition, compare it to yourself coming down with the flu. A rescue organization, can place these babies in homes where they are loved until adopted! There is no time limit on them as in pounds (which varies from state to state). Yes, their beloved baby will have a better chance to to live and be loved! Exceptions to this would be babies that are vicious (those trained to fight, or have a history of biting)

Although we receive a great sense of pride and satisfaction in this endeavor - not to mention the genuine love from these babies (it seems as if they know that they have been given another chance), the main thanks must go to Cindy and Amy and their veterinarian - without who there probably would be no BABR. These two courageous souls have put many hours into - among other things - nursing the most serious babies to the point where others like us, could then take them in and continue nursing them with the love they deserve.

After all, DOG = GOD spelled backwards.

You might ask: 'Why just foster Boxers?' To which we must answer: 'Because we - like a lot of other dogs - do not get along with all dogs. BUT, we have NEVER met a Boxer we DID NOT like!'

Be forewarned, that some of the pictures and stories behind them are not very pleasant. But than, neither is life. With these pictures and stories, we hope to help instill a better sense of responsibility among humans and the way they treat these wonderful creations of GOD. For even though they have been mistreated, they are still that loving, wonderful creation!

Just 'Click' on the pictures to read their story.

However, we are staying in touch with these three dears and will post pictures of their and THE GIRLS escapades. So do come back.
